Bally Johal

Bally Johal

Charity Manager

With a background in legal, management and banking, and a degree in Business Administration, I joined Well for Life in 2008 as an Administrator and then as Deputy Services Manager.

Over the years, my passion for supporting and advocating for people living with HIV and other long-term conditions have driven my commitment to the charity’s mission. I’ve dedicated myself to enabling individuals to thrive, guiding them through their personal challenges, and celebrating their successes.

My extensive experience at Well for Life has allowed me to witness countless transformations, making my work deeply fulfilling as I continue to empower others and contribute to our community’s overall wellbeing.

Christine White

Christine White

Social Worker Volunteer

My name is Christine. I am a social worker. I have been volunteering with WFL since 2012 so far.

Before retirement, I worked in a hospital social work team, from where I got to know WFL. Some of the patients I worked with were asylum seekers, also known to the charity. My current job encompasses: advice around benefits, housing, debt; collaboration with other organisations; liaison with medical colleagues; signposting to specialist help as necessary.

Emotional support and a non-judgemental approach are paramount in our service. Those who approach us can expect a warm welcome in a place of safety.
